BadSoc is Lancaster University's Badminton Society. We are seperate from the club and aim to provide a friendly atmosphere for anyone who is interested in playing badminton at any level. This is our first full year as a society, at our first freshers fair we got over 100 members due to there only being 5 courts at the sports centre we have had to split these members into sessions and also make a waiting list for new members who are interested in joining, if you are interested and would like to be added to the list send your name and college to badsoc@hotmail.co.uk and hopefully we'll be in touch soon. Members will be charged a one off membership fee of £3 each year and a valid purple card is required. The cost per session will depend on which session you come to. As well as playing badminton we also have various socials, details of these and other news will appear on this page below! Photos of our antics will appear in the gallery. More information on facebook! 15/2/2009 We have bought some of our own Rackets so if you don't have one then you can borrow one for free off us rather than being charged by the sports centre. We're organising ourselves for the first full year of the Badminton Society with lots of badminton and even more socials; there'll be some hoodies too! We will be meeting in Cartmel at 9pm then moving onto Lonsdale and Pendle (planning to spend about 30mins in each). Feel free to turn up in which ever bar you can, although it would be nice for us all to start at Lonsdale!
